Baby Lambs and Berry Picking

I was purging my camera last night, and much to my surprise found several pictures from the latter part of our Virginia stay hiding out on said camera.

Uncovered pictures = easy blog post.

As Jack and Baylor are informing me at this moment (as they so helpfully crowd around the computer and assist in my typing), these pictures feature "baby animals" who are "eat(ing)." Also "Ryan." And Jack is counting in this manner: "8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 20, 13, 20, 13, 20" while using the aid of his fingers.

How could I ever do this without them?

These long-lost pictures document a fun morning we had just outside of Harrisonburg at the house belonging to some friends of Janie and Ryan. This family is raising some baby lambs, as well as several adult sheep and chickens, and they have woods behind their house which feature a running stream and lots of berries for the picking. We had a great time exploring.

Jack feeds a lamb.

The boys sample the wild raspberries.

Jack braved the cold water and
waded for a long time.

Baylor was content to hang out with his Aunt Janie.

And that last one features a "baby lamb," according to Jack. Just so you know.

Baylor: "Bye, baby lamb."

Jack: "More pictures, please."

It's me ... your most devoted blog fan!

My favorite is the one with Aunt Janie (probably because I miss her as much as I miss your kids)

AND, I CAN'T WAIT to hear all their new words!

See you soon!
