I love to see young mothers going this direction and you will find lots of support out there (especially on other blogs and websites).
My husband and I teach a Young Married SS class here at Indy First Naz and I believe that half of our group that have babies in diapers use the cloth.
Princess C looks quite stylish in hers! (oh, and "fat bottom girls" make the rocking world go round!).SentimentsbyDenisehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04542589881266619149noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6805504101401683454.post-26135605062050900062009-04-02T23:41:00.000-05:002009-04-02T23:41:00.000-05:00good to know...and I'm very interested to hear how...good to know...and I'm very interested to hear how knitting your own covers go...that could be very beneficial to my friends in Bolivia since the covers are the more expensive part!Gallo Pinto2http://www.blogger.com/profile/17906480670448043712noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6805504101401683454.post-69430628133248609432009-04-02T11:24:00.000-05:002009-04-02T11:24:00.000-05:00I think we figured once that we only had to use ou...I think we figured once that we only had to use our cloth diapers for 9 weeks in order to break even with disposables. We used them for 9 weeks, then for another 18 mths. Then, used them for our second child until he was 2. Now, I didn't use them while out and about, but we still saved money, that is for sure!

She looks adorable in her FBs. :)Tracyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14798842025735776242noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6805504101401683454.post-73611379258016164392009-04-02T09:51:00.000-05:002009-04-02T09:51:00.000-05:00not a bad mom at all. Luke rolled over to a chair to chew on it the other day and then got stuck. they think you are super women for saving them. :)Susan Grahamhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09732330135391043032noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6805504101401683454.post-66169831276838780122009-04-02T07:02:00.000-05:002009-04-02T07:02:00.000-05:00Not itchy at all. I've even seen cashmere diaper covers!

She hasn't broken out yet, not from either the covers or the diapers, and I'm praying that's how things stay.Christinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11154692504751436022noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6805504101401683454.post-33847608038596148092009-04-01T22:10:00.000-05:002009-04-01T22:10:00.000-05:00Yea, yea, yea for cloth diapers!!!And trust me, I ...Yea, yea, yea for cloth diapers!!!

And trust me, I know how much work they are...In Bolivia I'd say 75% of the daily laundry is diapers and diaper covers but obviously they save thousands of dollars by doing that (plus it's how it works culturally there!)

One question about the wool covers...how itchy are they? I mean are they irritating her skin at all? I have the world's most sensitive skin ever so I'm not sure I could even handle changing a baby that had wool on them...Gallo Pinto2http://www.blogger.com/profile/17906480670448043712noreply@blogger.com
